Training

Pakenham Little Athletics training – (optional training)

Fundamentals (U6-8) – Mastering the fundamentals of run, jump and throw. Most activities will be game based making it enjoyable for our little athletes.
Training (U9+) – Some drills. Some learning games. Some endurance and strength training. With multiple coaches on hand we’ll guide you to new speeds, heights, and distances.

When: Tuesday evenings: 5.30 – 6.30pm

*Training sessions are optional and will be held based on coach availability each week.

* Please ensure you arrive on time (ready for a 5.30pm start) and bring a water bottle and any personal belongings you might need (i.e spikes etc.)

* Any changes will be posted on Facebook and Stack Team App.

* Extra training days may be offered for relay, region and state competition and will be advertised on our socials during the season.

ABOUT
Our training programs are focused on skill development for all ages, mastering fundamental movements with advanced training for older age groups wishing to improve the skills.

The below sessions are paid sessions.

WHEN

Monday

  • Session one (5:30pm – 6:45pm) – Sprints
  • Strength and Conditioning (6:30pm – 7:30pm) – Gym limited to 10 athletes

Wednesday

  • Session one (5:30pm – 6:30pm) – Sprints/Middle Distance
  • Session two 5:30pm – 6:30pm) – Jumps (Long Jump, Triple Jump or High Jump)
 

Fridays

  • Session one (5:30pm – 6:30pm) – Hurdles/Long Jump

Sundays

  • Session one (9:00am – 10:15am) – Casey Fields Cranbourne – running
  • Session two (10:00am – 11:30am) Casey Fields Cranbourne – throws/jumps
